Location Permissions

Approximate Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)

Required by Android when requesting precise location. The app does not use approximate location for any additional purpose.

  • The app does not store your location.

Foreground Service Permissions

These permissions allow the app to continue showing your speed while minimized.

Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE)

Allows the app to keep running while you switch to other apps (e.g., Music, Maps).

Foreground Service Location (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION)

Required on Android 14+ to explicitly declare that the foreground service uses GPS.

The app does not run background services unrelated to speed tracking.

Notification Permission

Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Required on Android 13+ so the app can display a persistent notification showing your current speed and tracking status.

Notifications are only used to:

  • show your active speed reading
  • indicate when tracking is running

NoAdvert Speedometer does not send marketing notifications or collect notification data.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with:

  • Third parties
  • Advertisers
  • Analytics providers
  • External servers
  • Cloud services

No data is transmitted outside your device.
